This is a bottle deposit redemption building on the West Side of Buffalo. I did this as an assignment for my Computer Graphics I class. The assignment was to do a pixel art rendition of a bodega in Buffalo. I made this in Pixelorama at 256×256 pixels. I think part of what helps sell this piece is the little things like the reflections on the windows or the stains on the outside of the building. The biggest challenge for me was trying to display text at a resolution that is too low for it to be legible. This was the first time that I have ever done anything at such a low resolution and I am glad that it came out successful. I plan to learn how to animate in this style and how to use sprite sheets for games or other applications.
